Radio Broadcasts began in the year 1927 with stations for operation with 6 counterpart-countries. The callsigns started with a „T“ in front, check the image below. Usually was „TAP“ on 9465 khz best to listen. Early programs are „Mailbag“ and a special program for international shortwave Listeners, broadcasted via „TAQ“. Early QSL-cards were headed: „Turkish Press Department, Radio Branch“. Later they changed it into „Radio Ankara“ and in 1964 to „TRT (Turkish Radio and TV Corp.)“
